Kathleen Ledet grew up along the waters of Bayou Lafourche in Golden Meadow, Louisiana, a small town about 70 miles south of New Orleans and about 15 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico. In 2007, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts in film and communications and a minor in English. At UNO, Kathleen worked on numerous film productions in a variety of positions—from script supervisor to set dresser to assistant director to producer.

Jen Suran, born in Birmingham, Alabama, began her filmmaking career as a freshman at the University of New Orleans in the fall of 2005. After only one week of classes, Hurricane Katrina struck. Against what some believed to be better judgment, she returned to UNO to document on film the daily struggles of rebuilding New Orleans after the storm.

In May of 2009, Suran completed two short documentaries called In Our Shoes and The Madcap Bridge. She also recently received a Bachelor of Arts in Film concentrating in post-production and hypermedia art. Suran plans to remain in New Orleans to pursue a career in documentary editing and graphic art.
